Marshall Bruce Preast

Marshall Bruce Preast, 62, of Summersville, WV passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his home. Born February 25, 1958 at Summersville, he was a son of Eva Hypes Preast of Summersville and the late Ernest Preast. He was a Dozer operator at Contura Energy. Surviving besides his mother are his wife, Helen Samples Preast; children, Cassandra (Ritchie) Cottle of Lookout; stepchildren, Kami Jones and her companion Gary Bartley of Elkview, David (Jennifer) Jones of Clay; and Ira (Annette) Jones of Elkview; sisters, Marcia (Eddie) Kiser of Summersville, Nellie Baughman and companion, Bill Mann of Summersville, Becky (Paige) Pierson of Jacksonville, NC, and Pam (Mitchell) Workman of Mt. Nebo; grandchildren, Clara and Callie Cottle, Bailee and Braelyn Weese, Hunter and McKenzie Bartley, Makayla and Matthew Jones, Gauge Jones, Weston, Riley, and Kylie Baldwin; nieces and nephews, Tonya Price of Morganton, NC, Tari Workman of MS, Eric Workman of Lewisburg, Timothey Hanshaw of Canvas, Joseph Allman and Cameron Allman, both of Summersville, Farley Price, III of Asheville, NC, Isiah Brooks, Ava Workman, and Acen Workman all of Lewisburg. Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2020 in the Preast Family Cemetery at Summersville with Pastor Paul Gray officiating.
