Mary Lou (Summers) Meck

     Mary Lou Meck was born May 22, 1934 and passed away April 26, 2025 at the age of 90 in San Jose, CA.

     Mary Lou was born in WV to Arthur and Hattie Summers and always remained strongly attached to her WV roots.  She had a brother, Arthur Summers, and sister, Geraldine Mason.

     After graduating from Nicholas County High School, Mary Lou entered the dental hygiene program at West Liberty State.  Later she moved to New York City to follow her dream studying theatre at the American Theater Wing.

     In NYC she met and married Ronald Meck and settled in Campbell, CA, where she devoted her time to raising her four sons; Stephen, Michael (Cheryl), Daniel (Tammy) and David (Nada).

     She spent her time volunteering in their schools, swim meets, and Little League.  Mary Lou loved writing and shared her poetry with her grandchildren, Sam, Abbey, Mila, Hannah, Noah, Katherine, as well as brother-in-law, William Meck.

     Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026 in the Summers Cemetery at Lockwood with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating.
