Michael Roy Blankenship

Michael Roy Blankenship, 70, of St. Mary’s, GA, formerly of Charleston, WV passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his home after a long illness.  Born March 6, 1953 at Sutton, a son of the late Charles and Naomi Frame Blankenship.  

     He was a Baptist by faith and was a retired from Angelica Linen in Dayton Beach, FL.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Karen; four sons, Adam (Adina) Blankenship, Scott (Ginny) Blankenship, Jason (Brenda) Blankenship, and Nathaen (Cindy) Blankenship; one daughter, Angie (Dustin) Kernel; one sister, Beverly (Chappy) Young; seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

     Private graveside services were held at the Birch River Cemetery at Birch River.  Interment followed under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.

     There will be a celebration of life in St. Mary’s, GA at a later date.
