Nancy Callahan

Nancy Callahan, 83, of Lockwood, WV passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.  She was born February 23, 1942 in Wheeling, WV to Mae Blagg. 

Nancy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and active in many local clubs and organizations, often working alongside her best friend, Beulah Summers.  She worked as an in-home caregiver, loved gospel music, and cherished her feline companions, Huey, Cheyenne, and Cleo.

      She will be sadly missed by her close friend, Leatha (Jeff) Preast, their children, Jared and Megan Preast, Mariah (Tommy) Palmer, and Lilly Jane Palmer; Elizabeth (Tim) Morris and their daughter, Cassie; Mary (Kevin) Nutter and their sons, Nathan and Nicholas.

      Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Glade Creek with Pastor Dwayne Walker officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

      In lieu of flowers contributions in Nancy’s Memory may be made to any local animal shelter in your area.
