Oliver Eugene Ward

     Oliver Eugene Ward, 89, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at his home.  Born January 18, 1935 at Craigsville, he was a son of the late Esker E. and Flossie Blankenship Ward.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rita Alice Ward in 2012; a son, Alfred E. Ward in 2021; siblings, Alfred Lee Ward, Jessie Ward, Sterling Ward, Curtis Ward, Brooks Ward, Roger Ward, Dessie Hammons, Linda Tenney, Cheryl White, and Sharon Tinney; son-in-law, Ralph Williams; and two grandchildren.    

     Survivors include his children, Randy Ward and his wife, Betty, Wanda Williams, Joe Ward,  and Connie Johnson; siblings, Doye and his wife, Sharon Ward, Richard Ward, Dennis and his wife, Debbie Ward, David Ward, Phyllis and her husband, Dale Workman, and Lena, and her husband, Marlin Byrd;  seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

     Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Monday, September 16, 2024 in the Mountain Trail Cemetery at Craigsville with Pastor Duane Peyatt officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville.
