Ollie Alice Varney

Ollie Alice Varney, 101, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at her home.  Born February 12, 1925 at Grassey Creek, Webster County, WV she was a daughter of the late Lock and Alice Anderson Gregory.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Alden Varney; her eldest son, Dewayne Varney; and also seven brothers, and three sisters.

      She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church at Camden-On-Gauley and was a homemaker.

      Survivors include one son, Rex Varney; daughter-in-law, Paula Varney; granddaughter, Amy Gamble; two great grandsons, Andrew and Harrison Gamble.

      Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in the WV memorial Gardens at Calvin with Linda Dyer officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville.  There will be no visitation.
