Patsy Kay Groves

     Patsy Kay Groves, 71, of Canvas, WV passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home.  Born May 7, 1952 at Richwood, WV, she was a daughter of the late Elmer J. and Laura Burkholder Hellms.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Groves; one grandson, J. W. Groves, and by a sister, Pearl Conard.

     She was a member of the Woodbine Baptist church at Summersville.

     Survivors include her husband, William Wayne Groves; sons, Joey (Jamie) Groves and James (Jessica) Groves; daughter, Jennifer (Herbie) Gillespie; siblings, Porter (Naomi) Hellms, Shirley (Ina) Hellms, Don (Sharon) Hellms, Sina Lupo, and Verlis (Ern) King; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Pastors Carl Hardy and Denver Danberry officiating.  Interment will follow in the Groves Cemetery at Canvas.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
