Pearl May Persinger, 99, of Nettie, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the WVU-Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. Born May 15, 1922 at Ansted, WV she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Dexter Cunningham Minor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Arlu Edgar Persinger and by three daughters, Betty Mae Stephenson, and two infant daughters, Peggy Jean and Sue Ann Persinger; siblings, Jim, Jack, Joe, Frank, Eddie, Bonnie, Ada, Lenore, Bob, Merle, Bill, Bruce; two grandchildren, Tommy and Jimmy; daughter-in-law, Pat Persinger.
She was a member of the Ward Road Freewill Baptist Church at Nettie and was a mom to a lot of people besides her children.
Survivors include her sons, William A. Persinger of Nettie; Arlu E. (Ruth) Persinger, Jr. of Hookersville, and Curtis D. (Dot) Persinger of Summersville; one daughter, Patsy (Mac) Wilson of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Aubrey Minor of Rupert; one sister, Annis Skaggs of Bellburn; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the Ward Road Freewill Baptist Church at Nettie with Pastors Arnold Nicholas and Justin Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Ward Road Cemetery at Nettie under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1PM until time of services.
