Ralph Damon Preast, 93, of Nallen, WV passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 in the Bower’s Hospice House at Beckley. Born February 20, 1931 at Kingston, he was a son of the late Gaymond G. and Nora Ewing Preast. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Damon Mooney.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA, loved the outdoors, was a beekeeper and collected honey.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of seventy-two years, Frances Ray Preast; daughter, Jenny (Alvin) Walker; son, Ralph Preast; four grandchildren, Jamey (Tara) Walker, Matt (Kimberly) Walker, Missy (Nathan) Mooney, and Samuel Moore; twelve great grandchildren, Brayden, Luke, Jake, Lilly, Tatum, Damon, Presley, Maggie, Matty, Caleb, Ada, and Lila; one great great granddaughter, Hailey.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel at Victor with Pastor Jamey Walker officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville.
Friends may call at the mausoleum chapel on Tuesday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
