Robert Allen Brown

Robert Allen Brown, 78, of Summersville, WV passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 in the WVU-Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center.  Born February 8, 1943 at Zela, he was a son of the late Alva Ray and Opal Elwood Williams Brown.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Roberta Brown, Linda Schmucker, and Gloria Ray Graham.

     He was a Christian and a former employee for Tom Bailes Construction and Boso and Boso Contractors in Summersville.  He loved to hunt and fish, garden, can, and build.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and was a good man who loved his family.

     Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hypes Brown; daughter, Sandra (Shane) Reedy of Princeton; grandchildren, Jacob Reedy, Joshua Reedy, and Sara Reedy; siblings, Darrell (Patsy) Brown of Winfield, Carl (Marlene) Brown of Summersville, Deborah (Jerry) Ramsey of Summersville, and Carol (Jon) Burleson of Warrenton, VA; brother-in-law, George Graham of Logan; and a host of other family and friends.

     Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the Brown Family Cemetery at Zela with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.

     There will be no visitation.
