Robert Eugene Roberts

      Robert Eugene Roberts, 73, of Zela, WV passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his home.  Born June 11, 1950 at Lockwood, WV he was a son of the late Shirley and Helen Auxier Roberts.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lynette Roberts; two brothers, Bud and Sam Roberts.

      He was Pentecostal by Faith, was a retired mechanic in the coal mines, loved to garden and play guitar, and loved his family.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and he loved helping his family and other people when he could.

      Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Debra Roberts; one daughter, Kim (Brian) Thomas; one brother, Mike Roberts; one sister, Maxine Hayes; four grandchildren, Haley Brown, Lynzi Brown, Colton Thomas, and Josi Thomas; one great grandson, Hayden Wright.

      Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Dotson-Simpson Memorial Cemetery at Keslers Cross Lanes with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.
