Roger Mark Cook, 70, of Summersville passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. Born October 22, 1950 at Sutton, he was a son of the late Eugene Walter and Beulah Gaye Lewis Cook. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Cook and by a granddaughter, Alexis Cook. He was a minister/evangelist for many churches throughout Nicholas and Braxton counties, was a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War, was a retired coal miner for Fola Coal Company and a supervisor and safety officer. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Cook; son, Douglas (Cleva) Cook; daughter, Debbie (Hamid) Khorshad; stepchildren, Michael (Lori) DeBoard and Jeremy (Crystal) DeBoard; brother, Eugene Cook; eight grandchildren, DJ Cook, Andrew Cook, Gabby Khorshad, Jennifer Spinks, Elizabeth Rouse, Trever DeBoard, Ethan DeBoard, and Corey Massey; six great grandchildren, Jayden, Jasmine, Emma, Paisley, Elijah, and Lylah; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
