Roland L. Griffith, 75, of Canvas, WV passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. Born September 27, 1950 at Sutton, WV he was a son of the late Clarence and Marian Hamon Griffith.
He was Christian by Faith. He was a retired coal mining superintendent and electrician at various coal mines in Nicholas County. He was Owner/Operator of Gauley Mountain Molding at Craigsville. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved to spend time with his brother at camp. He also loved WVU Football.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Mary Griffith; three daughters, Michelle (James) Eddy, Cathy (Jeff) Davis, Joanie (Joe) Prather; his brother and best friend, Mickey (Camilla) Griffith; six grandchildren, JR Eddy, Erica Criss, Tyler Davis, Issac Prather, Preston Prather, and Courtney Crowder; five great grandchildren, Aubri Criss, Trenton Criss, Millie Eddy, Brayleigh Davis, Daisy Davis and a future great grandchild on the way.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the WV Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Calvin.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to Kanawha Valley Hospice 1606 Kanawha Blvd W. Charleston, WV 25387.
