Romeo E. Dorsey

Romeo E. Dorsey, 83, of Mt. Nebo, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  Born March 22, 1938 in Mt. Nebo, WV he was a son of the late Jennings and Pearl Sebert Dorsey.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Dorsey; brothers, Edward, Bill, Russell, Johnny, and Everett Dorsey; sisters, Elizabeth Huffman, Bonnie Bennett, and Ada Justice.

      He was a member of Gilgal United Methodist Church at Mt. Nebo, a NCHS graduate of 1957, a former employee of Winchester Concrete in VA and a disabled coal miner with Sewell Coal Company.

      Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Irene Carol Young Dorsey; three sons, Carl (Pat) Dorsey, Wesley (Luanne) Dorsey, and Christopher (Donna) Dorsey; two daughters, Dedria C. Dorsey and Pearl (Nick) Walton; two sisters, Mary Rittenhouse and Betty Thompson; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

      It was his wish to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
