Ronnie Rex Hyre

Ronnie Rex Hyre, 85, of Calvin, WV passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the WVU-Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.  Born December 26, 1939 in Cottle, WV.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ordry Spittler, adopted father, Rex Hyre and stepfather, Herbert Miller and his mother, Clorda Hall Miller.  

      He attended the Grace Baptist Church.  He was a retired Owner/Operator Barber of Ron’s Barber Shop for 63 years.  He was a US Army Veteran.  He was a member of the Camden-On-Gauley Masonic Lodge #107.  He enjoyed flying and building ultralights, playing guitar, traveling south and spending time with his dogs, Shy and Bear.

      Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 65 years, Heide Hyre; one son, Ronnie M. (Delores) Hyre; grandsons, Ronnie M. Hyre, III. and Mason A. Hyre; sister, Barbara Morris; and a host of other family and friends.

      It was his wish to be cremated and memorial services may be held at a later date.  Arrangements were made by the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Summersville.
