Roy Preston Smith

Roy Preston Smith, 66, of Summersville, WV passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Born April 25, 1954 at Charleston, WV, he was a son of the late Richard and Louise King Smith. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angel, two brothers and his four sisters. He was a retired saw mill operator that loved to garden, hunt, and fish. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and was a family man. Survivors include his wife, Sadie Richardson Smith; four children, Sylvia (Will) Rexrode of New Symerna Beach, FL, Lacy Smith of Summersville, Roy Thomas (Sheena) Smith of Richwood, and Ruby Harless of Wilkesboro, NC; seven sisters, Lena, Dolly, Barbara, Faye, Helen, and Nancy; two brothers, Pliant and Theodore; eight grandchildren, Mason, Sadie, Lacey, Jackystn, Kaleb, Jeremiah, Onna, and Aiko, and a host of other family and friends. It was his wish to be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date. White Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
