Russell James Bond, 61, of Pineville, WV passed away at his home on Monday, September 5, 2022. Born December 17, 1960 at Richwood, he was a son of Sheril Carver and the late Russell Wade Bond. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Jupior and Vada Mullens; grandfather, John “Shorty” Culver; aunts, Nancy Hughes and Jewell Baker; and uncle, Aaron Culver.
He was a member of The Well and Rhema Ministries in Wyoming County, was a Paramedic with 43 years of service, was a musician, and he loved to sing gospel music.
Survivors include his son, Garrett (Jordan) Coleman of Salem, VA; grandson, Alex Coleman; mother and stepfather, Sheril and Robert Carver of Hickory, NC; uncles, Albert Culver of NC, Alfred Culver, of MD; step sisters, Renee (Matt) Forte and Angie (Johnny) Griffin; a host of other family and friends, and a large extended EMS family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Pastor Tyler Cresong officiating. Interment will follow in the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
