Samuel Charles Gray, 70, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in the Bower’s Hospice House at Beckley. Born January 30, 1955 at Summersville, he was a son of the late Charles D. and Glenna Rose Hypes Gray. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Debra Gray and a brother-in-law, Denver Willis.
He was a retired Pastor of many churches in Nicholas and Webster counties and he loved singing with the Apostleaires and Laurel Creek gospel groups. He loved to fish and coon hunt.
Survivors include his wife, Christia Gray; children, Tressi Gray, Chip Gray, Jason Gray, and Tearnee Wilbert; sisters, Joyce Willis and Kimberly (Steve) King; several grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville with Pastor Paul Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Keenan Cemetery at Drennen.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
