Sandra Ann Hanna

     Sandra Ann Hanna, 78, of Summersville, WV passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at her home.  Born March 14, 1947 at Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Emory W. and Loretta M. Armstrong Gunter.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen  Gillespie; a son, Glen, Jr.; a grandson, G. W. Gillespie; and by a brother, Don Gunter.

     She was a Baptist by faith, was a former custodian for the Nicholas County Board of Education with 22 years of service.  She had worked at Panther Creek Elementary, Summersville Elementary, and Summersville Junior High schools.

     Survivors include two sons, James Gillespie and Herbie (Jennifer) Gillespie; three grandchildren, James Robert Gillespie, Jaykob Gillespie, and Jayla Gillespie.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville with Pastor Roy Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery at Asbury. 

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
