Sharon Kay Hanna

     Sharon Kay Hanna, 71, of Canvas, WV passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 in Select Specialty CAMC-Memorial Hospital at Charleston.  Born February 18, 1953 at Richwood, she was a daughter of the late Harold O. and Mildred Lea McMillion Hughes.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hanna; her brother, Randall Hughes; and her sister, Marsha O’Dell.

     She was a Jehovah’s Witness, loved gardening, candle making, canning, and cooking.  She also loved her dog, Rosie Ray.

     Survivors include two sons, Terry Hughes and Jeremy Hanna; brother, Daniel Hughes; several nieces and nephews and their children who she considered her grandchildren, Colton, Kayden, Payton, Everleigh, Aaliyah, Olen, Malaki, Kylie, Raelynn; and a host of other family and friends.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with John Foster officiating.  Interment will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
