Strawn V. Brown

     Strawn V. Brown, 94, of Whitewater Road, Summerville, WV passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in the WVU-Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center.  Born March 7, 1931 at Zela, he was a son of the late Lawrence V. and Vernie Ester Legg Brown.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Bill Brown, Arch Brown, and Dillard Brown.

     He was a member of the Pierson Chapel Community Church, an Air Force veteran, a former maintenance director of the Nicholas County Board of Education, a 50 year member of the Summersville Masonic Lodge, and he enjoyed reading his Bible.

     Survivors include his wife, Norma Ruth Harmon Brown; children, Gary (Francine) Brown, Cathy (Dennis) Adkins, and Lisa Brown; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 in the Pierson Chapel Community Church at Zela with Pastors Phil Hickman and Arnold Nicholas officiating.  Interment with Masonic Graveside Rites will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville.

     Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:30 am until time of services.
