Vanda Rae Denault, 84, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. Born June 27, 1940 at Fayetteville, she was a daughter of the late James and Iva Proctor Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Denault; siblings, James Smith, Other Smith, Zona Smith, Marvin Smith, and Norman Smith.
She was retired from Belk Clothing Stores, was a former telephone employee with C and P Telephone, was a charter member and organized the First Humane Society in Fayette County.
Survivors include nephews and nieces, Gary (Susie) Humphrey, Debbie Smith, and Marian Comer; and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Faith Chapel Mausoleum at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Beckley on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow after the visitation.
White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA or the Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
