Ward Pletcher, Jr., 84, of Drennen, WV passed away at his home on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Born May 20, 1941 at Somerset, PA, he was a son of the late Ward and Lorena Moore Pletcher, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Tonya Cassell.
He was a member, deacon, Sunday school superintendent, and teacher at the Open Arms Baptist Church, was a Vietnam Navy veteran, and a retired heavy equipment mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Pritt Pletcher; children, Crystal (Larry) Robinson, Lisa (Steve) Shaffer, Cindy Faber, and Andy (Michelle) Pletcher; bonus son, Michael (Chris) Moore; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 (Noon) on Monday, November 3, 2025 in the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville with Pastor John Tinnel officiating. Interment will follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor.
The family would like to thank The Charleston Hospice Care and the in home respite care members, Page O’Dell, Evelyn Auxier, and Louise Deal.
Friends may call one-hour prior to the funeral services on Monday at the funeral home.
