William "Richard" Corbitt

      William "Richard" Corbitt 78 of Summersville passed away peacefully Thursday December 18, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born June 03, 1947, he was the son of the late Bill and Jane Corbitt of Summersville. He was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Arthur, James, Roy and sister Mary.

      He was retired from McDonnell-Douglas in Florida. He worked at Tudors and Sheetz in Summersville during his retirement. He attended the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. 

     He is survived by one brother Flavia of Nettie and one sister Ruth Valentine of Clay County and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved as his own children. He could light up a room and he never met a stranger.  He was a friend to many. He will be forever cherished by all who knew him.

     Per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.

     White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
