Obituary

Willie Gerald Dooley, 93, of Summersville, WV passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his home.  Born April 17, 1929 in Mt. Nebo, WV he was a son of the late Hubert and Rodha Thomas Dooley.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Hicks Dooley; grandson, Wayne Taylor, II, and several brothers and sisters.

      He was a former timberman and truck driver for Groves Dairy.  He was a lifetime member of the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church at Mt. Nebo, WV.

      Survivors include two children, Walter Dooley of Canvas and Donna Ellen Pugh of Summersville; two sisters, Darla Rader of Summersville and Ruth Gwinn of Nettie; one brother, David Dooley of Nettie; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church at Mt. Nebo with Pastor Sue Lowther officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.     Friends may call at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the services.
