Rodney Owen Dobson

Rodney Owen Dobson, 66, of Summersville, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.  Born December 17, 1956 at Okinawa, Japan he was a son of the late Wayne and Edith Dulaney Dobson.

      He was a member of the Grace Communion International Church, was a US Navy Veteran, was a retired boiler operator in the Navy and at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN.  He loved to ride his Harley and go fishing.

      Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carrie Dobson; sons, Brian Dobson, Eric Dobson, William Lynch, Dale Lynch, Thomas Lynch, and Justin Connell; two brothers, Rick and Keven Dobson; several grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

      Graveside rites will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek with Pastor Tom Wiseman officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.
